Intro

MAXRES Construct is a state-of-the-art platform for implementing a successful learning solution. The combination of MAXRES Construct’s collaborative development, dynamic delivery, and learning management capabilities are designed for the rapid creation of interactive, adaptive content. The LCMS Premier platform consists of multiple components that provide increase productivity and efficiencies in the development, maintenance, management, and delivery of reusable learning content.

Overview​

MAXRES Construct is a server-based web application that allows you and your team to quickly build fully responsive digital learning content. Being a server-based tool, it is accessed by users via a web browser and lets you easily create beautiful courses using any combination of existing tried-and-tested plugins to add interactivity and functionality. Change the look and feel by creating new menu types and themes. Use rich multimedia assets to add visual flair and increase user engagement. You can preview your content creations straight from within the platform, or quickly and easily package them up for uploading to a SCORM-compliant LMS – all straight out of the box. Extend tracking and reporting using bespoke and paid for plugins for xAPI support.

Prerequisites​

MAXRES Construct uses a combination of software platforms that usually run on a web server, rather than on your computer. This web app structure allows the tool to be installed once and accessed by many users, in the same way, that an LMS or webmail application works. MAXRES Construct is designed to be used on a desktop computer, although the fully responsive HTML5 output is suitable for devices from smartphones to large desktop monitors.

Hardware​

There are no special requirements for hardware, just that it supports the above. Front-End Web Application The front-end web application requires: Modern, with good support for HTML5 features (preferably evergreen):

  • MAXRES Construct currently offers no support for mobile devices.

Security, Auditability, and Control​

MAXRES Construct uses the security and auditability features of the host hardware or software. Where the platform is installed on-premise, the customer is responsible for the evaluation, selection, and implementation of security features, administrative procedures, and appropriate controls in application systems, and communication facilities.

  • The content authoring tool enables all of the development functions within the platform
  • The asset management database is a repository of all media and assets that are to be used as assets, media, and/or resources
  • The plugin and extension management tool enables further development and customisation of the platform and the addition of new features and functions
