Publishing a Course to Moodle
This guide walks you through the complete process of publishing a course from MAXRES Construct and uploading it to Moodle as a SCORM package.
Overview
You will learn how to publish a course from MAXRES Construct, upload it to Moodle, and configure the SCORM package settings for optimal playback.
Requirements
- An active account with access to MAXRES Construct
- Administrator credentials for your Moodle instance
- A completed course ready for publishing in MAXRES Construct
Publishing the Course from MAXRES Construct
1. Log In and Select a Course
- Log in to your MAXRES Construct platform.
- On the Dashboard, select All Courses.
- Double-click on the course you wish to publish.
2. Start the Publish Process
- From the left-hand panel, click the Publish button.
- In the publishing view:
- Ensure the Course radio button is selected.
- Ensure the Now radio button is selected.
- Scroll to the bottom and select Publish.
3. Upload to Moodle
- Wait for the progress modal to appear.
- When the build completes, scroll to the bottom of the modal.
- Select Upload to Moodle.
- Once the upload is successful, a success message will appear.
Adding the SCORM Package to Moodle
4. Log In to Moodle
- Log in to your Moodle instance using Administrator credentials.
5. Edit Your Target Course
- Navigate to the course where you wish to add the SCORM package.
- Ensure Edit mode is toggled ON (top-right corner).
6. Add the SCORM Activity
- In the desired section, click Add an activity or resource.
- Select SCORM package from the activity/resource modal.
7. Configure the SCORM Activity

Fill in the mandatory fields (e.g., Name, Description).

Under the Package section:
- Click the + icon in the top-left corner of the Package file box.
- In the File Picker, choose Private files from the left-hand panel.
- Select the SCORM file uploaded from MAXRES Construct.

Choose how to reference the file:
- Link to the file (recommended): allows content to be automatically updated when republished.
- Make a copy of the file: creates a static snapshot (reupload required for updates).

Adjust Title, Author, and License fields as needed.

Click Select this file.
8. Save and Display
Scroll to the bottom and click one of the following:
- Save and return to course
- Save and display
Recommended Appearance Settings
To ensure optimal SCORM playback:
- Expand the Appearance section by clicking the › button.
- Click Show more... and apply the following settings:
